The first prosecution witness testified at the trial of former Bosniak Croat police officers Nikola Zovko, Petar Krndelj, Kreso Rajic and Ivica Cutura. The witness said he was beaten in a police station in Capljina, although he was wounded.

In their closing statements, the defense teams of Marijan Brnjic, Martin Barukcic, Pavo Glavas and Ilija Glavas called upon the court to acquit their clients of charges of wartime rape in the Odzak area in 1992.

Expert witnesses for the prosecution and the defense stuck to their contradictory positions on Jozo Djojic’s ability to stand trial. The trial chamber decided to conduct a new expert examination of Djojic’s health.

The life of a calm and cheerful girl was destroyed during two nights in 1992. Suzana J. was 14 years old when she was raped eight times by a group of soldiers. Today she says she has no reason to smile, because images of what she survived continue to haunt her.

The Brcko District police in Bosnia and Herzegovina arrested former Croatian Defence Council fighter Senad Pekic on suspicion of participating in war crimes in the village of Bukvik.

The State Investigation and Protection Agency arrested Miodrag Grubacic and Ilija Djajic suspected of crimes against humanity in the Bileca area in 1992. Another suspect, Boris Bosnjak was also arrested on Friday.

The state prosecution presented about 25 pieces of material evidence at the Zdenko Andabak trial, including a decision which appointed the defendant to the position of assistant chief of military police.

A state prosecution witness testifying at the trial of Zdenko Andabak, Muamir Jasarevic and Sead Velagic said Serbs who were detained in the Ivan Goran Kovacic school building in Livno were beaten. The defendants have been charged with war crimes in Livno.

The state prosecution has called upon the state court to find Marijan Brnjic, Martin Barukcic, Pavo Glavas and Ilija Glavas guilty of wartime rape in the Odzak area in 1992.

The state prosecution has announced that Damir Lipovac, charged with war crimes in the Derventa area, has been extradited from the Netherlands to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
