Dervisevic, a former member of the Fifth Corps of the Bosnian Army, has been charged with the abuse, torture and humiliation of Bosniak civilians in Sturlic in the municipality of Cazin in August 1995. The civilians were primarily women and the elderly whose family members were sympathizers of the National Defense of the Western Bosnia Autonomous Region.

The indictment alleges that Dervisevic beat civilians using a rubber baton, tied civilians to a car and forced them to pull it, tortured civilians and caused them severe physical injury.

The indictment has been filed with the Bosnian state court for confirmation.
