Fadil Dajic was initially charged alongside Hadrovic, but the cases were separated due to Dajic’s poor health.

Hadrovic, a former policeman, and Dajic, a former member of the Bosnian Army, have been charged with killing civilian Sekula Poletan during a disarmament operation in the village of Plandiste on June 10, 1993.
At the beginning of the retrial, Hadrovic’s defense attorney, Vasvija Vidovic, asked the court to allow the re-examination of witnesses Seval Alickovic and Jasmin Mehinagic, as their previous testimony contained contradictory allegations. Both witnesses are former colleagues of the defendant.
The court rejected the proposal, as the witnesses had already been examined.
The court also rejected a proposal by the defense to appoint a new court medical expert, on the grounds that it would be unnecessary evidence.
In 2014, Hadrovic and Dajic were both sentenced to ten years in prison. The Supreme Court of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina repealed the verdict and ordered a retrial.
Hadrovic’s defense announced that it would propose new pieces of evidence.
The trial will continue on February 22.
