The trial of Dusko Dabetic was postponed after witnesses failed to appear at today’s hearing at the cantonal court of Sarajevo. Dabetic, a former Bosnian Serb fighter, has been charged with wartime rape in the Grbavica neighbourhood of Sarajevo.

In 2015, the Bosnian state court sentenced 45 defendants to a total of 467.5 years in prison for wartime murder, rape, torture and other crimes, including the Srebrenica genocide.

On Tuesday, December 29, the trial of eight defendants charged with committing war crimes in the Buzim area from November 1994 to August 1995 will be held at the Bosnian state court.

The cantonal court of Sarajevo ordered another expert examination of Ibrahim Ceco’s mental health, after a court-ordered neuropsychiatrist found that Ceco was capable of standing trial.

Three trials dealing with war crimes committed in Rogatica, Derventa and Buzim will began at the Bosnian state court next week.

A defense witness testifying at the Milkan Gojkovic trial said he never saw the defendant socialize with convicted wartime criminal Veselin Vlahovic. Gojkovic has been charged with wartime rape in the Grbavica neighbourhood of Sarajevo.

A protected witness testifying at the Ratko Mladic trial said the February 1994 attack on the Markale Market was organized by Bosnian president Alija Izetbegovic and Islamic religious leader Mustafa Ceric. The witness said the attack was carried out by Bosnian Army generals.
