On Thursday, December 24, the trial of Milisav Ikonic, Dragan Lubarda and Zoran Ilic will begin at the Bosnian state court. The defendants have been charged with wartime rape in the Rogatica area. Ikonic, Lubarda and Ilic have been charged with raping several Bosniak women in June and July 1992. Ilic has also been charged with the rape of a minor.

The trial of Damir Lipovac will begin on Tuesday, December 22. Lipovac, a former member of the Croatian Defense Council, has been charged with war crimes against Serbs in the Derventa area in 1992.

The trial of Zijad Nanic, Esad Kudelic, Vahid Bajraktarevic, Senad Salkic, Hasan Mustafic, Mehmed Alesevic, Nedzad Bapic and Samir Isakovic will also begin on Tuesday, December 22. The defendants have been charged with the inhumane treatment of prisoners of war and civilians detained in the Radoc Hotel in Buzim.

According to the charges, Nanic was the assistant commander for security with the 505th Buzimska Brigade of the Fifth Corps of the Bosnian Army, while the other defendants were members of that unit.

On Thursday, December 24, the state prosecution will present its closing statement at the trial of Nihad Bojadzic. Bojadzic, the former deputy commander of the Zulfikar Squad of the Bosnian Army, has been charged with the assault, sexual abuse and rape of Croat civilians and prisoners of war in Jablanica in 1993.

On Thursday, December 24, the state prosecution will present its closing statement at the retrial of Fikret Planincic, Sead Menzil and Mirsad Vatrac. The defendants, all former members of the Territorial Defense, have been charged with committing war crimes against Serb civilians in the Kotor-Varos area.

Under a first instance verdict handed down in January 2014, Planincic and Menzil were found guilty and sentenced to 11 and a half years in prison, while Vatrac was sentenced to ten and a half years in prison.

On Tuesday, December 22, a status conference will be held in the case of Naser Oric and Sabahudin Muhic. The date of the trial start date will be determined at the status conference. The defendants have been charged with crimes against prisoners of war in the Bratunac and Srebrenica area in 1992.

Trials for war crimes committed in Bihac, Sanski Most, Prijedor, Bosanska Krupa, Srebrenica, Visegrad, Zvornik, Kalinovik, Rogatica, Cajnice, Trnovo, Hadzici, Jablanica, Mostar and Livno are also scheduled to continue at the state court next week.
