Bosnian Serb Policeman Jailed for Shooting Civilian
Former policeman Mladjen Vasiljevic was sentenced to three years in prison for shooting a civilian dead in the Ribnik area in August 1992.
The District Court in Banja Luka on Tuesday convicted ex-policeman Mladjen Vasiljevic of committing crimes against the civilian population in the Ribnik area.

According to the verdict, Vasiljevic, accompanied by Dragan Garic, the deputy commander of the police in Ribnik, and in collaboration with a few other policemen, transported victim Muso Muhedinovic to the village of Treskavac on August 28, 1992.
Vasiljevic grabbed the man by his shoulder, dragged him towards the edge of the road and fired several bullets into his back from close range, the verdict said.
Muhedinovic’s body was found after the war.
The verdict can be appealed at the Supreme Court of Republika Srpska.
