The witness, known as S2, was expected to testify with the presence of the public in the courtroom. After some opening questions, prosecutor Lejla Konjic asked for the public to be removed from the courtroom, since many of the questions for the witness were about a victim in the case.

Andabak, a former military police commander for the Croatian Defense Council, allegedly commanded an operation in the village of Grborezi in the municipality of Livno on July 21, 1993. Members of the military police of the Second Light Assault Battalion of the Croatian Defense Council killed one person and wounded another by opening fire at them, in Andabak’s presence.

Members of the Second Light Assault Battalion then allegedly wounded another person, whom Andabak killed by firing a bullet in his head.

The trial will resume on October 14.
