The trial beginning date will be set at a later stage.
Saric, former officer, and Dzerahovic, former member of the Army of BiH, are charged with having abused and beaten civilians, one of whom died, while others got severe injuries.
The indictment alleges that Dzerahovic and other soldiers took Andjelko Bozic and his two sons from their house in Bukovica village on June 16, 1992 and beat them, asking them to say where they had hidden their weapons.
According to the charges, they escorted the three men through Banlozi and Tetovo villages and took them to “Hasan Kikic” school building in Tetovo, where the Command of that unit was situated.
“They took the father and older son to Commander Jasmin Saric’s office. Saric and his subordinate soldiers then continued beating them with their hands, legs and rifle butts so brutally that the father died and the son lost conscience several times,” the indictment alleges.
Soldiers then transported Andjelko Bozic’s dead body to the Emergency Room, where they threw it out and left. They took his sons to a prison in Zenica, where they were held until the end of October 1992.
