Case: Saric and Djerahovic

The cantonal court of Zenica has found Sedjad Djerahovic and Jasmin Saric, both former members of the Bosnian Army, not guilty of war crimes.

The cantonal court of Zenica has scheduled the announcement of the verdict in the Sedjad Djerahovic and Jasmin Saric trial for Monday, November 30.

A statement given by a defense witness in the Jasmin Saric and Sedjad Djerahovic trial was presented at today’s hearing. In the statement, the witness said he heard that the defendants weren’t the soldiers who were seen taking away civilians Andjelko, Nedeljko and Veseljko Bozic in the summer of 1992.

Testifying in his own defense, Sedjad Djerahovic said he participated in the search of houses in the Zenica area but didn’t harm the injured parties in the case.

A defense witness testifying at the trial of Sedjad Djerahovic and Jasmin Saric said Saric didn’t participate in the assault of a family in Zenica.

Three defense witnesses testifying in favour of Sedjad Djerahovic said the defendant didn’t participate in the mistreatment and abduction of the Bozic family in Bukovica.

The cantonal prosecution of Zenica completed its presentation of evidence at the trial of Sedjad Djerahovic and Jasmin Saric, both charged with war crimes in the Zenica area.

Testifying at the trial of Sedjad Djerahovic and Jasmin Saric, a court-ordered neuropsychiatrist presented her findings on the mental health of injured parties.

The cantonal court of Zenica postponed the trial of Sedjad Djerahovic and Jasmin Saric, due to Saric’s poor health.
