Prosecutor Amela Mustafic said that witnesses Nermin Dervisevic and Izeta Elezovic have been living in the United States for years, while Halid Konjic cannot testify due to his poor health.
The Trial Chamber, presided by Muhamed Avdic rejected this proposal and ordered these witnesses to be called to testify.
The Chamber said that Konjic will be called for the next hearing, while Elezovic and Dervisevic will be called in April this year.
Monika Karan-Ilic is charged with having participated in the torture and inhumane treatment of non Serb civilians imprisoned in the Luka detention camp and the police station in Brcko from May 1992 to July 10, 1992.
She is one of only a handful of women being tried for war crimes during the Bosnian war.
This hearing, the Defence also cross examined prosecution witness Goran Ibric, who clarified statements he gave to the Cantonal Court in Tuzla in 1998.
Asked why he failed to mention the defendant in that statement, Ibric said he was questioned about other crimes in the Partizan sport hall and not Luka camp.
The trial will resume on March 26.
