Indictment for Srebrenica Crimes Confirmed

Kusic, a former member of the Jahorina Training Centre with the Special Police Brigade of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska, is charged with having killed a Bosniak captive, acting on the order of his superior officer, near the Kravica Agricultural Cooperative warehouse, Bratunac municipality on July 14, 1995.
In addition to the indictment, the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina filed a proposed text of an agreement under which Kusic admits guilt for the crime.
In September last year Milivoje Cirkovic, another former member of the Jahorina Training Centre, admitted his guilt before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, for the same crime –the murder of a captive in Kravica on July 14, 1995. Cirkovic was sentenced to five years in prison.
In October 2008 Vaso Todorovic, former member of the Second Squad with the Special Police Brigade, admitted guilt for participation in the murder of more than 1,000 Srebrenica residents in Kravica. He was sentenced to six years’ imprisonment.
Seven former members of the Jahorina Training Centre – Dusko Jevic, Mendeljev Djuric, Goran Markovic and Nedjo Ikonic, as well as Dragan Neskovic, Zoran Ilic and Dragan Crnogorac are currently on trial before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina. They are charged with crimes committed against the Bosniak population from Srebrenica in July 1995.
