Former Bosnian Army general Naser Oric will to be extradited from Switzerland to Bosnia and Herzegovina, where he is under investigation for war crimes, despite Belgrades plea for him to be sent to Serbia.

The Bosnian state prosecution confirmed there is an ongoing investigation against Bosnian Army wartime commander Naser Oric. Oric is currently being held in custody in Switzerland on the basis of an arrest warrant issued by Serbia. The state prosecution has asked Swiss authorities to extradite Oric to Bosnia and Herzegovina, and not Serbia.

A Bosnian state prosecution witness testifying at the trial of former Zvornik police forces said Dragomir Vasic was in Bratunac and Srebrenica for two or three days in July 1995, around the dates of Srebrenica-related killings.

Presenting his closing statement, Aleksandar Cvetkovics defense attorney said Cvetkovic didnt participate in the execution of civilians from Srebrenica on the Branjevo Farm in the municipality of Zvornik in July 1995. As such, the defense believes that their client should be acquitted of charges of participating in genocide.

A Bijeljina district prosecution witness testifying at the Radosav Milovanovic trial said the injured party told her the defendant had raped her, but didnt believe her.

A statement by a deceased witness was read at the Goran Saric trial. The statement described how the witness dug holes on the way from Konjevic Polje to Zvornik and how the bodies of victims were buried.

Presenting its closing statement at the Aleksander Cvetkovic trial, Cvetkovics defense attorney said the state prosecution failed to prove elements of genocide in the case against his client.
