Former Bosnian Serb policemen Darko Mrdja and Zoran Babic were sentenced to 15 years in prison each for murders and other crimes against Bosniaks in the Prijedor area in 1992. The Bosnian state court on Friday found ex-policemen Darko Mrdja and Zoran Babic guilty of participating in the persecution of the Bosniak population of the Prijedor area as part of a widespread and systematic attack by the Bosnian Serb Army and police force in July and August 1992.

Bosnia’s Institute for Missing Persons is excavating the site of a suspected mass grave containing 29 Bosniak women and children killed in the village of Zecovi in the Prijedor area in July 1992. Bosnia’s Institute for Missing Persons said on Thursday that it is now in the second day of an excavation in the Zecovi area, at a site where 29 female and child victims could be buried.

Former Bosnian Serb reservist policemen Milorad Obradovic will stand trial for involvement in killings, torture and other crimes against Bosniak civilians in the Prijedor area in 1992. The Bosnian state court on Monday confirmed the charges against Milorad Obradovic, also known as Stiven, who is accused of taking part in the persecution of Bosniak civilians in late July 1992 as a member of the reserve police force in Ljubija near Prijedor.

Bosnian Serb ex-fighter Milorad Obradovic was indicted for alleged participation in the murders of Bosniak civilians in the village of Miska Glava near Prijedor in 1992. The Bosnian state prosecution on Thursday charged Milorad Obradovic, alias Stiven, with participating in a widespread and systematic attack on the Bosniak civilian population in the Prijedor area in July 1992, as well as the capture of around 120 Bosniak civilians in the village of Miska Glava, in collaboration with others.

A US court has ruled that former Bosnian Serb soldier Aleksandar Knjeginjic can be extradited to Bosnia and Herzegovina on suspicion that he participated in the murders of a Bosniak couple in Prijedor in 1994. Judge Phillip Green confirmed on Thursday at the Western District Court of Michigan in the US city of Grand Rapids that Aleksandar Knjeginjic can be extradited to Bosnia and Herzegovina, US media reported.
