A protected state prosecution witness testified at the trial of fourteen former Bosnian Serb fighters charged with attacking the village of Zecovi in 1992. The witness said he didn’t hear defendant Radomir Stojnic giving any orders, using the word “clean,” or approving any crime.

The trial of Dragoja Zmijanjac began with a reading of the indictment and the presentation of introductory statements by the defense and the prosecution. Zmijanjac has been charged with crimes against humanity in the Prijedor area.

A protected state prosecution witness testifying at the trial of fourteen former members of Bosnian Serb forces said he remembered seeing bodies in Zecovi and Prijedor, near Gradina.

Testifying in defense of Drago Koncar, a witness said the defendant used to bring him food and firewood during the war. He said as far as he knew the defendant hadn’t commit any crimes during the war.

Testifying at the trial of fourteen Bosnian Serb fighters charged with crimes in Zecovi, a state prosecution witness said she heard that defendant Rade Grujcic took her son away in a personnel carrier with another perpetrator. The witness said her son’s remains were found in the Tomasica mass grave after the war.

Testifying in defense of Drago Koncar, a witness said the defendant used to visit her family in the village of Jaruge in the municipality of Prijedor during the war. She said she never heard that he committed any crimes.

Bosnian Serb ex-policeman Darko Mrdja, who has already served a sentence for massacring Bosniaks, was arrested on suspicion of involvement in torturing and killing prisoners in Prijedor in 1992.
