A state prosecution witness testifying at the trial of fourteen former members of Bosnian Serb military and police formations said he saw people lying in front of several houses during a military operation in the village of Zecovi in the municipality of Prijedor. The witness said he assumed they were dead.

Testifying in defence of Bosnian Serb military chief Ratko Mladic, a former police chief said he did not know in 1992 that a special police squad under his command killed Bosniaks and Croats.

Testifying at the trial of three former members of the Bosnian Serb Army charged with war crimes in the vicinity of Prijedor, a defense witness described the beginning of interethnic tension and conflict in the area.

Testifying at the trial of three former members of the Bosnian Serb Army charged with crimes in Prijedor, defense witnesses there were Bosniak checkpoints in place during the first part of 1992.

Testifying in defense of Mitar Vlasenko, a witness said hadn’t heard about the defendant participating in robberies and murders during the war.

The state court has confirmed an indictment against Milorad Radakovic and Goran Pejic, charging them with crimes against humanity in the Prijedor area.

Testifying at the trial of fourteen defendants charged with attacking civilians in the village of Zecovi in the municipality of Prijedor, a state prosecution witness said she hid in the basement of a house in the village with women and children during the attack. Serb forces attacking the village then set the house on fire.

A defendant in the trial of three former Bosnian Serb soldiers charged with war crimes in the Prijedor area in 1992 testified at today’s hearing. Defendant Drago Koncar said he was keeping watch with defendant Mitar Vlasenko when captured Bosniak civilians were brought to them.
