Jasmin Sehagic was allegedly the warden of the prison camp, which was located in an old mine in Kakanj, and has been accused of participating in the abuse of Croat civilians.

Ramiz Dugalic, a former security officer of the Bosnian Army Third Corps, told the cantonal court in Zenica that he was unaware of the existence of the camp, which was located in an old mine in Kakanj and held Croat soldiers and civilians in 1993.

When asked if he heard about the abuse of prisoners at the Kakanj mine, Dugalic said he would’ve heard about incidents of abuse if his units had reported them to him. He said he had no recollection of any reports of illegal activity in Kakanj.

“The only center for prisoners of war in the Third Corps area was in the Zenica prison,” Dugalic said.

The trial continues on June 22.
