Acts issued by the State Security related to the arrest and treatment of Croat detainees were among the 98 pieces of material evidence, which Prosecutor Zorica Djurdjevic included in the case file.
The Prosecution also presented evidence related to woks performed by detainees from Silos on Mount Igman. The Prosecutor did not say what was written in those documents.
Djurdjevic also presented documents, which, as she said, indicated that detainees performed labour on the territory of Hrasnica. During the course of the trial former detainees from Silos said that they were taken to Hrasnica, Butmir and Mount Igman in order to dig trenches during the war.
Mustafa Djelilovic, Fadil Covic, Mirsad Sabic, Nezir Kazic, Becir Hujic, Halid Covic, Serif Mesanovic and Nermin Kalember are on trial for crimes committed in Silos, “Krupa” military barracks and “9. maj” school building.
The indictment alleges that Hujic was Manager and Deputy Manager of Silosa and that Halid Covic performed the same functions. Mesanovic was one of the Deputy Managers of Silos and Manager of a detention camp in “Krupa” military barracks, while Kalember was a guard in Silos. The other indictees were members of civil, military and police authorities.
The Prosecution presented documents related to arrival of judges and prosecutors to the Igman area, as well as a visit by the Red Cross.
“We are presenting a document on establishment of a commission for care about detainees, which refers to the status and treatment of detainees,” Djurdjevic said.
Several acts issued by the Supreme Command of the Army of BiH were also included in the case file.
“I present a document, ordering the release of all prisoners of war, including prisoners from Tarcin. We are proving the first count by this piece of evidence. We shall say the rest in our closing statement,” the Prosecutor said.
The Defence teams had no objection to most of the presented pieces of evidence.
Due to the upcoming holidays the trial is due to continue on January 15.
