Sead Sadikovic, indictee Sadikovic’s cousin, said that he heard that Muslims were detained in the secondary school centre in Hadzici in April 1992. The situation was like: “war might or might not break out”, Sadikovic said, adding that he was then forced to leave Kasatici village.

Witness Sadikovic said that he participated, along with a few other local residents, in the attack on Kasatici village in which members of Milosevic family were killed. According to the witness, their goal was to return to their homes.

“I can claim that Azemin was not there,” Sadikovic said, adding that a man named Izet Hujic, known as Maca, told him that he “personally killed the Milosevic family”.

Azemin Sadikovic is on trial before the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo for crimes committed in Kasatici. The former member of “the armed forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina” is charged with having killed four Serb civilians in that village in May 1992.

Second Defence witness Selver Sadikovic said that he participated in the attack on Kasatici village and Zunovnica military barracks. He said that somebody told him that members of Milosevic family had been killed, adding that he was so annoyed that he left the operation.

As he said, he reported the case to military police in Lokve, Hadzici municipality. Selver Sadikovic said that he could guarantee with his own life that indictee Sadikovic did not participate in that attack.

The trial is due to continue on December 17.
