Prosecutor Ozrenka Neskovic announced that two of the witnesses would be granted protection measures, adding that one of them would testify via video link. Also, it was proposed that statements given by six witnesses be read in the courtroom.

“Four out of the six witnesses are sick, while two of them have since died,” the Prosecutor said.

Soldat, Djuric and Babic are charged with having participated in the persecution, murder and other inhumane acts against non-Serb civilians from Prijedor municipality from late April to the end of September 1992.

They pleaded not guilty on February 11.

Djuric and Soldat were arrested on December 5, 2012. Three days later the Court released them to liberty under prohibiting measures.
