The state court has sentenced Ramiz Avdovic and Iulian Nicolae Vintila to three and two years in prison for crimes committed in the former Viktor Bubanj barracks in Sarajevo.

During an evidence hearing at the trial of Ramiz Avdovic and Iulian Nicolae Vintila, the defense argued that evidence presented by the prosecution didn’t prove that the defendants are guilty of war crimes in Sarajevo.

After Iulian-Nicolae Vintila’s defense presented its closing arguments, the state court scheduled the verdict in the Vintila and Ramiz Avdovic trial for February 26.

Presenting its closing statement, Iulian-Nicolae Vintila’s defense said the state prosecution had not offered any evidence which indicated the defendant was guilty and called for an acquittal. Vintila and the other defendant in the trial, Ramiz Avdovic, have been accused of committing war crimes in Sarajevo.

On the second day of his closing statement, Ramiz Avdovic’s defense attorney called for a verdict of release for his client, who’s been charged with committing war crimes in Sarajevo in 1992.

Presenting his closing statement, Ramiz Avdovic’s defense attorney said allegations that his client was a commander of prison guards hadn’t been confirmed by material evidence or testimony from prosecution witnesses. Avdovic has been charged with war crimes against Serb civilians in Sarajevo in 1992.

Presenting its closing statement, the state prosecution said it had demonstrated that Ramiz Avdovic and Iulian-Nikolae Vintila are guilty of war crimes committed against Serb civilians in Sarajevo in 1992.

The state prosecution filed the findings of a medical expert testifying at the Ramiz Avdovic and Iulian-Nicolae Vintila trial. The expert’s findings were refuted by the defense.

At today’s hearing of the Ramiz Avdovic and Iulian-Nicolae Vintila trial, court expert Zorica Lazarevic was cross-examined. Lazarevic said based on her expertise and statements given by injured parties, she concluded that prisoners held at the Viktor Bubanj military barracks in the Sarajevo area suffered greatly.
