“In the second indictment the Prosecution proposed to examine 32 witnesses, so the total number of witnesses proposed in both indictments is 85,” said Prosecutor Sanja Jukic.
As per a decision rendered by the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the cases against Jukic under the two indictments would be merged and one joint trial will be conducted in the future.
The trial of Jukic as per the first indictment, which was filed in January this year, began on April 12.
This indictment charges Jukic, former member of Rama Brigade with the Croatian Defence Council, HVO, in 11 counts with having persecuted the Bosniak civilian population from July to the end of September 1993.
In addition, he is charged with having participated in an attack against the civilian population, murders and forcible disappearances.
Under the second indictment, which was filed in March, Jukic is charged, in two more counts, with crimes in Prozor. He pleaded not guilty to each of the indictments.
