The chamber rejected the appeals brought forth by the state prosecution and the defense and upheld the conviction handed down in March 2015.
Tolic was found guilty on five counts of the inhumane treatment and assault of Serb civilians detained in schools in Bosanski Brod and Odzak from May until November 1992. Detained civilians Rade Tomanovic and Mirko Pajic died as a result of beatings they endured during their detention.
Tolic was acquitted on seven counts of torture, assault, murder, theft and sexual abuse.
