The state court was informed by the Penal and Correctional Facility in Mostar that Andabak complained about pain in his right shoulder as well as high blood pressure. The trial chamber said it would request that medical documentation regarding the defendant’s health condition be submitted to the court.

Andabak, Muamir Jasarevic and Sead Velagic have been charged with the detention, torture and murder of Serb civilians held in the Ivan Goran Kovacic school building in Livno. According to the charges, Andabak was the commander of military police of the Croatian Defense Council (HVO) for the North-Western Herzegovina Operational Zone, Jasarevic was his deputy, while Velagic was a member of the crime service with HVO’s military police.

The trial will continue on February 10. Four witnesses who appeared at today’s hearing, will be invited to testify again.

Andabak appeared before the state court yesterday and testified in his defense at a trial for crimes committed against the Bosniak population in Livno.
