SIPA officers detained former Bosnian Army soldier Ibrahim Demirovic on Wednesday, on suspicion that he committed a war crime in Mostar.

Demirovic, the wartime commander of the 47th Bosnian Army brigade, is suspected of abusing over 100 Bosnian Croat civilians, among them women, children and elderly people, in Potoci near Mostar in1993.

The Bosnian prosecution said that Demirovic was arrested because another indictment will be raised against him for a second crime – multiple rape of a woman.
