Karan said that it was determined that the skeletal remains belonged to Zdravko and Momcilo Subotic and that the rib fractures were made using non-sharp mechanical force.

The indictment alleges that, on June 10, 1992 Dedic participated in the unlawful arrest and torture of civilians during a search of houses in Duzice hamlet, Gornja Breza.

It is alleged that the indictee participated in the beating of arrested civilians, including Momcilo and Zdravko Subotic, among others.

Court expert Karan considers that one can determine that they obviously died a violent death.

After having processed the skeletal remains, Karan issued death certificates, containing dates of death, among other things.

The Defence objected, saying that it was not under the responsibility of a medical doctor, but the Court exclusively. The court expert responded by saying that he processed and issued thousands of death certificates, which were necessary in order for families to take over the remains and bury them, adding that nobody had ever objected to it.

The trial is due to continue on May 6, when the Prosecution is supposed to complete the presentation of its evidence.
