Federal Prosecutor Hajrija Hadziomerovic-Muftic said that she fully supported an appeal filed by the Cantonal Prosecutor from Bihac due to violations of the criminal proceedings and wrongly determined factual status.

The Defence proposed to the Court to reject the appeal and confirm the first instance verdict pronounced on October 19, 2012.

“All of the appeal allegations are completely unfounded,” said Cvjetin Adamovic, Defence attorney of Lavrnic, who failed to appear in court due to illness.

Lavrnic, former member of the 17th Kljuc Brigade of the Republika Srpska Army, VRS, was acquitted of charges for having come to Rejzovici hamlet on February 10, 1993 and killed three and wounded one Bosniak civilian.

The Supreme Court will render a decision concerning the appeal at a later stage.
