Court medicine expert Vedo Tuco told the Court that he was involved in exhumations from three mass graves in the Bratunac area, namely Bljecevo, Glogova and Kazan basca.

“Most of the persons, whose remains were found in those graves, had injuries caused by bullets. In the case of a few bodies, it was not possible to determine the cause of death,” Tuco said.

Tuco said that the 33 people, whose cause of death was determined, were killed or missing people from Hranca village, as well as people killed in Glogova and Hranca on May 9, 1992.

Mladjenovic and Zivkovic are charged with having participated in the attacks on Hranca and Glogova villages, Bratunac, on May 3 and 9, 1992, when Bosniak civilians were killed and expelled from their villages.

The indictment alleges that Mladjenovic was Commander of the Territorial Defence in Bratunac and Zivkovic was a member of that unit at the time.

The Defence of the indictees objected to the relevance of the evidence related to the exhumations of people killed prior to, and past May 9, explaining that they did not refer to the indictment.

The trial is due to continue on June 11.
