The appeals court upheld the conviction of Serb ex-soldier Najdan Mladjenovic, who was sentenced to three and a half years in prison for his role in torching Bosniak homes in Bratunac in 1992.

The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, BiH, calls on the Court to order a retrial of Najdan Mladjenovic and Savo Zivkovic, who are charged with crimes in Hranca and Glogova villages, Bratunac municipality, or sentence them for the charges of which they were acquitted under the first instance verdict.

As the trial for crimes in Bratunac continues, a Defence witness says that he was among the men, including indictee Savo Zivkovic, who were present in Hranca village on May 3, 1992, adding that none of them went to the upper part of the village, where there was shooting.
