On Monday, October 15 witness E testified at another trial of six former members of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina, ABiH, who are charged with crimes in Trusina on April 16, 1993. However, the hearing was interrupted because the witness became sick, so he had to be transported to hospital.

Protected witness E, former member of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina, ABiH, testified in a separate cabin, while his face and voice were altered.

State Prosecutor Vesna Ilic said that she spoke to the witness about his health this morning and that he told her that he had “chest pain”, but he wanted to testify as soon as he felt better.

Dzeko, a former member of the Zulfikar Unit of ABiH, is charged with having participated in the shooting of several members of the Croatian Defence Council, HVO and Croat civilians in Trusina following the end of an attack on the village. He is charged with having killed three older people in the village during the attack.

According to the State Prosecution’s charges, Dzeko committed war crimes against Croat civilians and prisoners of war in Jablanica during 1993.

The trial is due to continue on Tuesday, October 23.
