“On the basis of information we obtained during the investigation, we undertook a preliminary search of this area and discovered one skull. We are now conducting the exhumation as per an order issued by the Cantonal Court. We have found two bodies. Available data suggest that they belong to married couple Ramo and Kada Alivuk, who were killed in September 1992,” said Jasmin Mesic, Cantonal Prosecutor from Bihac.
The information available to the Una-Sana Cantonal Prosecution suggests that the two persons, who are suspected of committing this crime, live outside of Bosnia and Herzegovina, or more specifically in Serbia and Montenegro.
“Thanks to the good international cooperation, we hope that they may be arrested and brought to justice soon,” Mesic said.
The exhumation at several localities in Dulibe area will continue in the coming days.
“We are continuing our activities at two other localities. We are searching the area. We previously exhumed nine bodies from a mass grave located in the vicinity of this grave. About 30 people, who were killed, are still being searched for in Ljutoc valley,” says Mujo Begic, Chief of the Bihac Office of the Institute for the Missing Persons of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Sic persons, who are held in custody, are suspected of crimes in the Ljutoc valley on September 22 and 23, 1992.
