Following the presentation of closing statements by the prosecution and the defense, the cantonal court of Sarajevo scheduled the verdict in the Predrag Djurovic case for October 30. Djurovic has been charged with wartime rape in the Vraca neighbourhood of Sarajevo.

The Bosnian state court will hand down a verdict in the Ilija Juric trial on Monday, November 9. Juric has been charged with war crimes in Posavska Mahala in the municipality of Odzak.

Zaim Lalicic’s defense asked the appeals chamber of the Bosnian state court to repeal the verdict against him or hand down an acquittal. The state prosecution objected to this proposal. Lalicic was sentenced to nine years in prison for crimes committed in the Hrasnica neighbourhood of Sarajevo.

The Bosnian state court has confirmed an indictment against Milisav Ikonic, Dragan Lubarda and Zoran Ilic for wartime rape in the Rogatica area in 1992.

A state prosecution witness said Enes Curic captured him in Bijelo Polje in the municipality of Mostar, and said he was forced to perform forced labour while still a minor.

A statement given by a deceased witness was read at the trial of Adil Vojic and Bekir Mesic, charged with war crimes in Bihac. In the statement, the witness said the injured party in the case told him she had been raped.

The Bosnian state court rejected proposals by the state prosecution and Martin Barukcic’s defense to allow the examination of additional witnesses. Today’s hearing closed the presentation of evidence at the trial of Marijan Brnjic, Martin Barukcic, Pavo and Ilija Glavas, charged with war crimes in the Odzak area.

A state prosecution witness testifying at the Zeljko Stanarevic trial described how the Bosniak population fled Kulen Vakuf under artillery fire from the Bosnian Serb Army. Stanarevic has been charged with war crimes in the Bihac area.

Radivoje Soldo, charged with rape in the Konjic area, submitted a proposal for plea bargaining with the Bosnian state prosecution.

A state prosecution witness testifying at the trial of five former members of the Bosnian Army said he was detained in Bijelo Polje and forced to dig trenches everyday.
