A state prosecution witness testifying at the Mirko Vrucinic trial said he noticed that Sanski Most detainees were injured while taking statements from them at police stations in Sanski Most and Manjaca. Vrucinic has been charged with war crimes in the vicinity of Sanski Most and Prijedor.

The state court scheduled the announcement of the verdict in the Gligor Begovic trial for Wednesday, December 9. Prior to the scheduling of the verdict, Begovic’s defense presented its closing statement and called for a verdict of release. Begovic has been charged with war crimes in Bijeljina.

Bakir Alispahic, the former head of the Sarajevo public safety center, testified at the trial of eight former members of Bosnian military and police forces charged with war crimes in Hadzici.

Dzevad Salcin’s defense presented its closing statement today. Salcin’s defense attorney said the state prosecution hadn’t proven any of the allegations contained in the indictment, which charges Salcin with war crimes on Mount Igman in 1993.

Former Bosnian Army serviceman Mirsad Tahirovic, alias ‘Deba’, was sentenced to five years in prison for the inhumane treatment of Croat prisoners in Jablanica in 1993.

The trial of Zarija Ostojic began again with a reading of the indictment and the presentation of introductory statements by the district prosecution of Eastern Sarajevo. The trial proceedings were restarted because Ostojic’s defense attorney had been replaced.

The state prosecution presented a set of material evidence on the status and police activities of defendants Goran Vujovic, Miroslav Duka and Zeljko Ilic in 1992. The defendants have been charged with war crimes in Bileca.

A former minister in the Bosnian wartime government testified in defense of Mustafa Djelilovic. He said the wartime Presidency of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina was the only institution which could have solved the issue of Serb prisoners held in the Silos detention facility in Hadzici. Djelilovic and seven other defendants have been charged with war crimes against detained civilians in the Hadzici area.

A state prosecution witness testifying at the Dragan Glogovac trial said the defendant beat him with a baton in a hunting lodge near Zavidovici, where he was detained in the summer of 1992.

Presenting its closing statement at the trial of Gligor Begovic, the state prosecution called upon the court to find the defendant guilty of crimes against civilians and prisoners of war in the Batkovic concentration camp in Bijeljina in 1992.
