Seven wartime prison officials are being retried for the abuse of Bosnian civilian and military detainees who were held in dire conditions at a jail in Ljubuski between 1993 and 1994. The retrial of wartime prison officers Ivan Kraljevic, Mato Jelcic, Stojan Odak, Vice Bebek, Vinko Radisic, Slavko Skender and Dragan Milos, who are accused of abusing detainees at the Military-Investigative Prison in Ljubuski, opened at the Bosnian state court on Monday.

The Bosnian court upheld the verdict sentencing former policeman Mico Jurisic to 11 years in prison for crimes against humanity against non-Serb civilians in the Prijedor area during the war in 1992. The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina has filed an indictment against Milorad Krunic, charging him with crimes against Bosniak and Croat victims in the Sanski Most area in 1992. Krunic has been accused of participating in murder of civilians, who were transported to Manjaca from Sanski Most.

The prosecution has called for the quashing of a first-instance verdict acquitting Ahmet Sejdic of war crimes against Bosnian Serbs in Rudo and Gorazde in 1992 and 1993.
