The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina requests custody for Nikola Andrun, who was released from prison, where he was serving his sentence, after a verdict against him for crimes against the civilian population in Capljina in 1993 was quashed.

During a hearing held before the Appellate Chamber of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mirko (son of Mile) Pekez requests the renewal of trial following the revocation of a second instance verdict, under which he was sentenced to 29 years in prison for crimes committed in the Jajce area.

On Wednesday, December 18 the Appellate Chamber of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina is due to pronounce a new second instance verdict against Mirko (son of Spiro) Pekez and Milorad Savic, who were previously sentenced for crimes committed in the Jajce area.

Applying a decision by the European Court for Human Rights in Strasbourg, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina reduces sentences against both Zoran and Goran Damjanovic by four and a half years. Goran Damjanovic is sentenced to six and a half years for war crimes against the civilian population, while his brother Zoran is sentenced to six years.

The State Prosecution files a custody order motion for Zrinko Pincic, whose execution of sentence was discontinued due to the wrong application of the law. The Defence proposed to the Court to reject the motion.

The Appellate Chamber of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina rejects custody order motions for nine convicts, who were released from prisons, where they were serving their sentences for war crimes, following the revocation of their verdicts.

Zrinko Pincic, who was sentenced to nine years in prison for having committed crimes against the civilian population in Konjic, has been released to liberty due to wrong application of law.

The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina files a custody order motion for Mirko (son of Spiro) Pekez, Mirko (son of Mile) Pekez and Milorad Savic, who were released from serving their sentence for war crimes, due to a danger that they might flee, influence their accomplices and disturb public order.

A hearing to discuss a State Prosecutions custody order motion for five convicts for genocide in Srebrenica, who were released from prison, has been postponed, because one of the Defence attorneys requested the exemption of judge Azra Miletic.

The prosecution demanded custody for Petar Mitrovic, who was freed after the verdict which jailed him for 28 years for genocide in Srebrenica was annulled and a retrial ordered.
