Presenting his closing statement, Ramiz Avdovic’s defense attorney said allegations that his client was a commander of prison guards hadn’t been confirmed by material evidence or testimony from prosecution witnesses. Avdovic has been charged with war crimes against Serb civilians in Sarajevo in 1992.

Serbian historian Milos Kovic told Ratko Mladic’s trial at the Hague Tribunal that the Bosnian conflict was a secessionist civil war in which all three forces carried out ethnic cleansing.
