At today’s hearing of a Srebrenik war crimes trial, the prosecution presented statements given by defendants Ekrem Ibracevic, Faruk Smajlovic and Sejdalija Covic during the investigation phase of the case. The defendants have been charged with war crimes in the Srebrenik area.

Hague Tribunal president Theodor Meron has designated a judge to consider a motion filed by the defense of Naser Oric. The motion requests that the proceedings against Oric at the Bosnian state court be discontinued.

State prosecution witnesses testifying at the Mile Puljic trial said they were wounded while performing forced labour on Santiceva Street in Mostar on August 31, 1993. Puljic has been charged with war crimes in Mostar.

The state prosecution continued presenting material evidence at the trial of Ekrem Ibracevic, Faruk Smajlovic and Sejdalija Covic, who’ve been charged with war crimes in Srebrenik in 1992.

The defense of Azra Miletic, a state court judge charged with bribery, requested the exemption of state court president Meddzida Kreso and judge Biljana Cukovic from her trial proceedings.

The state prosecution included material evidence in the case file at the trial of Ekrem Ibracevic, Faruk Smajlovic and Sejdalija Covic, who’ve been charged with war crimes in Srebrenik. The trial chamber rejected half of the evidence, mainly due to its irrelevance.

Next week the Bosnian state court will hand down a verdict in the Petar Kovacevic case for war crimes committed in the Visegrad area in 1992.

Former Bosnian Serb soldier Predrag Djurovic was sentenced to nine-and-a-half years in prison for raping a Bosniak woman in Sarajevo in 1992.

The state prosecution presented a portion of approximately 230 pieces of material evidence that it plans to present at a Srebrenik war crimes trial.

The cantonal prosecution of Sarajevo revised the indictment against Goran Sladoje and Slobodan Bogdanovic, who’ve been charged with war crimes in the Sarajevo area.
