Bosnian State Prosecution Raises Indictment for Rogatica War Crimes

The state prosecution has raised an indictment against Bozidar Perisic and Vinko Zoranovic, who are suspected of committing war crimes against civilians in Rogatica.

The charges, which were filed by the state prosecution on Thursday, accuse the suspects of participating in a widespread and systematic attack against Bosniak civilians from May 1992 until the end of 1993.
 
Perisic was a former member of the Bosnian Serb Army, while Zoranovic was a police officer in Rogatica.

According to the state prosecution, Perisic arrested and abused Bosniak civilians on June 19, 1992. He also allegedly killed 15 unarmed civilians in Rogatica on the same date. Their bodies were never found.
 
Zoranovic is accused of raping two women in a pastor’s home and high school.
 
The indictment has been forwarded to the Bosnian state court for confirmation.
