The state prosecution filed an indictment against Lipovac in 2008. Lipovac has been on the run since.

The state prosecution has charged Lipovac, a former member of the 103rd Brigade of the Croatian Defense Council, with war crimes committed against Serbs in the Derventa area in 1992.

Lipovac has been charged with the murder of two people, as well as the assault, robbery and torture of detainees held in a detention camp situated in a school building in the village of Poljari in the municipality of Derventa. The state prosecution alleges that Lipovac was the commander of the detention camp.
