Krsmanovic told the district court of Eastern Sarajevo that his defense attorney, Midhat Koco, failed to appear in court due to his other commitments at a Trebinje court.Prosecutor Tarik Crnkic told the court that witness Muhidin Kapo was also unable to appear at the hearing due to previous engagements at another court. Muhidin Kapo is also an attorney.Krsmanovic has been charged with having robbed a Bosniak civilian from the Rogatica area, along with a another member of the Bosnian Serb Army. He and the other soldier allegedly drove the civilian him to a police station in Sokolac, where they beat him. After they had handed the civilian over to the police, he was transferred to the Rasadnik detention camp in Rogatica.In June the state prosecution opened an investigation against Krsmanovic, acting upon the suspicion that he planned to murder witness Muhidin Kapo.The start of the trial has been postponed until October 28.

Bosnian Army Ex-Soldiers Jailed for Beating Prisoners
