Ljubo Mutlak said he was travelling with his wife and mother-in-law in a convoy from a village near Gorazde to Rogatica in August 1992, after the Bosnian Serb Army unblocked the road.

He said the convoy was attacked in the village of Kukavice and his mother-in-law was shot.

“My wife went to help and she was hit. Her mouth turned blue,” Mutlak said.

After arriving to Rogatica, Mutlak said, both women were given medical help, but they didn’t survive.

The Bosnian state prosecution has charged Muhamed Sisic, Emir Drakovac, Aziz Susa and Tarik Sisic with participating in an attack on a civilian convoy on August 28, 1992, in which 20 Serbs were killed.

The trial continues on June 2.
