Fahrudin Hadziosmanagic-Tadzic has also been indicted in this case, but was unable to attend the plea hearing due to his poor health.

According to the indictment, Saran, Hadziosmanagic-Tadzic, Sabic and Kadic detained, murdered, and inhumanely treated the civilian population in Bosanska Krupa from September 1995-July 1996.

At the time of the alleged crimes, Saran was the head of the public safety station in Bosanska Krupa, Hadziosmanagic-Tadzic was the commander of the police station, Sabic was the commander of a police section, and Kadic was a policeman in Jasenica.

When asked by judge Mediha Pasic about a potential separation of the case of Hadziosmanagic-Tadzic, the prosecution proposed that an expert medical examination of the defendant be conducted. The defense teams agreed with the proposal.

Hadziosmanagic-Tadzic’s defense said it would provide the court with all the documents at its disposal.

The court will render a decision concerning this proposal at a later stage. The indictment was confirmed on January 12.
