Former Croatian Defence Council soldiers Marijan Brnjic, Martin Barukcic, Pavo Glavas and Ilija Glavas have been charged with the rape, abuse, and humiliation of Serb women in Odzak.

The defense attorneys of the four defendants had no objection to the 17 pieces of evidence included in the case file.

Prosecutor Miroslav Janjic said that he was going to request that the court order an expert examination of a witness, whose health condition was poor.

Trial chamber chairwoman Jasmina Kosovic said that the witness support section informed her that Janjic had upset the witness. Janjic responded by saying the incident had been wrongly interpreted.

In the upcoming period the defense teams will submit their evidence presentation plans. The first witness to testify in Brnjic’s defense will be questioned on April 7.
