Enes Curic, Ibrahim Demirovic, Samir Kreso, Habib Copelj and Mehmed Kaminic were charged on Wednesday with abusing the Croat civilians, including many children, women, elderly people and pregnant women who were illegally held in detention facilities in the village of Potoci near Mostar.

“The indictment alleges that during the unlawful detention, the prisoners were tortured, abused, beaten held in inhumane conditions and starved – all of which left a serious mark on their health – and were also forced to do labour and used as human shields, which killed some prisoners,” said the prosecution in a statement.

The indictment was forwarded to the Bosnian court for confirmation.
