Preliminary hearing judge Dusko Ninkovic said that the Doboj Court had not received “any confirmation that the indictee received the invitation for this hearing”.

District Prosecutor Amela Hajdarevic requested the Court to order the indictee into custody and issue an international warrant against him, considering the current situation.

Milenko Radonjic, Jazvic’s ex-officio Defence attorney, said that he did not have any contacts with his client and that he objected to the custody order proposal, “because the Prosecutor must submit her reasons in writing”.

Judge Ninkovic accepted the Defence’s request and announced that another invitation to attend a plea hearing would be submitted to the indictee via the Ministry of Justice of Bosnia and Herzegovina, along with a custody order motion in case the Prosecution submitted one to the Court.

According to the charges, in late June 1992 Jazvic unlawfully arrested Serb men, mostly the elderly and those incapable of serving the military, in Mala Brusnica village, Bosanski Brod municipality. After that he allegedly escorted the captives to “Tulek” concentration camp in “Beograd” general store warehouse in Bosanski Brod, where they were subjected to abuse and inhumane treatment.

The new hearing is scheduled for January 31 next year.
