The prosecutor, Sanja Jukic, said that the documents relate to the period during which the criminal act was committed, and that certain evidence proves the participation of defendant  Jukic in the attack itself, as well as in the criminal act he is being charged with.

The indictment specifies that Jukic, together with a group of members of the Croatian Defence Council, participated in the attack carried out on July 6, 1993, against the Bosniak civilian population in the village of Duge, when he killed a 73-year old man.

Defendant Jukic is also charged with forcing Bosniak civilians to leave the village of Lapsunj on August 28, 1993, as well as participating in the disappearance of Kerim Terzic, whose body has not been found to this day.

Jukic’s defence lawyer Irena Pehar objected to the relevance of 88 of the entered exhibits, claiming that they do not relate to the defendant and do not prove his participation in the criminal act.

At the hearing, prosecutor Jukic said that after medical examination she gave up questioning witness Muho Pilav, because, according to the opinion from doctor Alma Bravo-Mehmedbasic, she was not “capable of giving relevant testimony before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.”

The next hearing, when the Trial Chamber will declare whether it has accepted the evidence, will be held on May 30, 2013.
