House Set on Fire in Hranca

In his statement given to the Higher Court in Tuzla Salcin Ramic said that he was in his house in Hranca village together with his family members on May 2, 1992 and that a Serb neighbour forced them to leave the house.
Najdan Mladjenovic came by and forced us to go into a neighbouring house. At the same time Sava Zivkovic poured some liquid over our house and set it on fire, the statement given in June 1995 says.
The statement further says that Mladjenovic had pulled a stocking over his face, that he was armed and that other soldiers addressed him as their commander.
Najdan said that Muslims had killed his father. I thought that he would kill us because of that, but we were forced to go down to the asphalt road and taken back home in the evening, the statement says.
The Defence of indictees Najdan Mladjenovic and Savo Zivkovic objected to the relevance of this statement, considering the fact that witness Ramic spoke about May 2, while the indictment referred to May 3 and 9, 1992.
Najdan Mladenovic and Savo Zivkovic are charged with having unlawfully arrested and detained Bosniak civilians during an attack on Hranca and Glogova villages, Bratunac municipality on May 3 and 9, 1992.
Mladjenovic was Commander of the Territorial Defence in Bratunac and Zivkovic was its member at that time.
The trial is due to continue on April 9, 2013.
