Considering that the Bosnian State Court was not notified whether the defendants were informed about this hearing, a decision will be made at a later stage whether a new plea hearing will be scheduled.

“The summons went out two months ago, but we did not get the confirmation back,” said Judge Ljubomir Kitic.

Cvijetin Adamovic, who is a court-appointed lawyer for Milidragovic and Milana Borovcanin-Bulic, who is defending Golijanin, said they have had no contact with their clients.

Prosecutor Ibro Bulic said that if families of the victims give their consent, he will propose for this case to be sent over to Serbia.

“There is a big problem in animating the families of the victims. We will try the pulse of the associations. If they give consent we propose to send over prosecutions. There are four big associations of victims, so there is no guarantee, but we will make the contacts and inform the court,” said Bulic.

According to the charges, Milidragovic, a former Commander of a squad with the Jahorina Training Centre of the Special Brigade with Republika Srpska police, and Golijanin, former Deputy Commander of a squad with that Centre, committed genocide in the period from July 10 to 19, 1995.

Milidragovic is a resident of Belgrade and is a Serbian citizen, as is Golijanin who resides in Sremska Kamenica.
