Local Justice – Doboj: Trial of Kovacevic on November 16

The Doboj District Prosecution charges Kovacevic, former member of the Croatian Defence Council, HVO, with having raped a female, while threatening her with weapons, twice during September 1992.
It is alleged that the injured party, who had never had sexual intercourse before, cried and begged the indictee not to do it. ??
At a status conference Prosecutor Slavko Krulj announced that the Prosecution would examine three witnesses, including the injured party, and present material evidence.
The Defence of indictee Kovacevic, who has citizenship of the Republic of Croatia, announced that it would examine three witnesses from the Bosanski and Slavonski Brod areas.
In late June this year Kovacevic pleaded not guilty before the District Court in Doboj.
