State Prosecutor Dzevad Muratbegovic said that the Prosecution would present eight pieces of material evidence, which the Defence considered indisputable, as well as a large number of other pieces of evidence to which the Defence objected in its written motion.

Kornjaca, former Commander of “Plavi orlovi” (“Blue Eagles”) paramilitary unit, is on trial for the persecution of Bosniaks from the Cajnice area, including the murder of 11 civilians at Mostina on May 19, 1992.

Defence attorney Milana Borovcanin-Bulic said that she could not say anything about the Defence’s evidence, because she had not contacted her client as of yet.

“I cannot say anything about it for the time being. I shall need a month. I have not been in a position to contact my client as yet,” Bulic said.

At this hearing the Chamber accepted a Defence’s proposal to allow the indictee to visit his Defence attorney in her office in order to discuss his defence. Also, he was allowed to visit the Dispensary. His request to be allowed to visit church on Sundays will be decided upon at a later stage.

Kornjaca was released from custody on August 30 this year. Prohibiting measures were ordered against him.

The trial is due to continue on October 22.
