State Prosecutor Behaija Krnjic asked the Trial Chamber to exclude the public from the hearing so he could play a documentary, depicting one of the protected witnesses.
No equipment for blurring of the screen exists in the Court. We have therefore not been able to remove the parts, depicting of the witnesses. The documentary shows her first and last name. Considering the fact that she testified in absence of public, I propose to the Court to exclude the public while we air the documentary, Krnjic said.
The Trial Chamber accepted the proposal, excluding the public from the part of the session at which the documentary was played.
The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina charges Gazdic, former member of the Republika Srpska Army, VRS, with having raped several Bosniak females, who were held in the Partizan sports hall in Foca, from the beginning of April 1992 to the end of March 1993.
The indictment alleges that Gazdic used to come to apartments and Partizan sports hall, where civilians were held, and took female persons, including minor girls, away on several occasions.
Gazdic is charged with having held a minor female person in sexual slavery conditions and raped other female persons, while threatening them with guns, and enabled other persons to rape them.
According to the official schedule of trials held before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the next hearing in this case is due to be held on May 16.
